Draft on Proactive Greening
We have developed a proposal for a transparent mechanism to enable community-led tree planting in Yerevan. Our goal is to provide residents with a legal and structured way to plant high-quality, large-scale saplings in vacant sidewalk pits through a simplified notification system. This initiative aims to accelerate the restoration of the city's green canopy while ensuring strict professional standards for species selection and long-term maintenance.
The proposal includes the introduction of a unified urban standard for saplings and the launch of a pilot project in one of the administrative districts to refine all technical and administrative workflows.
