Instrumental Analysis

What is it? It is the practice of using advanced diagnostic tools to assess a tree's internal health, rather than relying on visual guesses. This scientific approach accurately detects hidden decay or structural instability, providing objective proof of a tree’s condition before any irreversible decisions are made.

The Standard. Removal decisions must be backed by hard data, such as internal resistance testing. We advocate for a mandatory 30-day public notice displaying this evidence on the specific tree. This period allows residents to review the data and appeal or propose support systems if the tree is valuable.

Current Status. Currently, trees are removed based on subjective inspections, fueling public mistrust. There is no legal requirement for instrumental proof. To bridge this gap, Kanach Yerevan is actively developing a draft law to mandate objective diagnostics and transparency, ensuring accountability and rebuilding community trust.
